Story
Heyloooo my fellow earthlingss!!
If you're looking at the fish-eyed glasses and thinking 'has the picture been photo-shopped?' then two things..you are in the correct place and no the picture has not been photo shopped (somewhat unfortunately).
If each one of us was to think back to our childhoods, we would remember the joy arts & crafts, sports and the playground gave us and how it was all we really looked forward to (if not then you were a geekazoid super duper early). For us it was the norm. Communities and children in poverty stricken areas are not so lucky.
That is what drew me to East Arican Playgrounds. EAP is a charity that runs month-long trips to Uganda during the british summer with the purpose of developing school environments, sports and play facilities. As part of this, a playground is built on each trip. The community is involved in all stages to ensure a long lasting positive impact as they themselves have played a huge part in developing it all. More information can be found at http://www.eastafricanplaygrounds.org/
As i said..for us it was the norm but for them it would be something totally new so you can imagine the happiness and sense of joy it would bring them! That is simply the reason why I am going.
As a result, it would mean a humongous, gigantic, stupendous amount if you are able to help with this fundraising campaign and donate some money. All of the money raised goes to EAP directly. It can be absolutely any amount and you are safe in the knowledge of the difference you are making :)
Many, manyyy thankss my amigos and la familia xx
