Story

I'm running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Dementia UK. 18 months ago my dad (good old Dave) was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. His life is changing slowly and I want to do something to show my  love and support for him.

It scares me to know my dad will start to lose memories of his grandchildren and I want my boys to make as many memories as they can with Grandad Putman.

Last summer I made a life choice to sort out my weight. People that know me, would have laughed with me about the prospect of Putman running long distance. I took up running and have not looked back since.  5ks and now, 15ks at weekends. This will be my first ever running event, and I couldn’t think of a better reason for doing so.

Please if you can donate to this amazing cause, you could help others make memories with their loved ones for as long as they possibly can.
