Story
In June, Year Six children from the school where I teach will travel 300K to Scarborough for their residential trip. Whilst they board their coaches, I'll be on my way by bike. I'll be splitting the journey over two days - cycling about 150K, or 90 miles, each day.
In September, I'm taking part in the Oxfam Trailwalker event: a 100K (65mile) walk over the South Downs in 30 hours. Our team, "Cirque de Sorelegs", will set out from Southampton and walk all through Saturday and through Saturday night, arriving in Brighton on Sunday morning.
Both events are to raise money for Oxfam and for the Ghurka Welfare Trust, who support Ghurka veterans and their families and communities.
