Thank you for joining me on this small but important step towards ending oppression and poverty, faced by women and girls living on the fringes of modern society.

This year I’m running the London Marathon in support of ActionAid, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty, oppression and exclusion. Their dedicated local staff provide practical support through education, financial help, safety and welfare programmes. For those who supported my campaign last year, you’d remember that ActionAid was deeply involved in rescue work during the Afghan political crisis, and their important work continues across some of the harshest realities of today.
