Firstly many thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising valuable funds for  Hope and Homes for Children.  This wonderful international charity works to help vulnerable children orphaned by war or disaster.  Currently around 8 million children are confined in orphanages all over the world.  Like me you may have believed that orphanages are a good thing but they can have devastating consequences for children, denying them a voice and taking away their right to grow up in a loving protective family environment.

Hope and Homes for children provide exactly that; hope and homes.  They are closing institutions and supporting children into loving stable families and communities.   www.hopeandhomes.org

 In September I will be part of the Ride Rwanda team.  We will be mountain biking approximately 260km across Rwanda (The Land of a Thousand Hills!!!) .....thankfully not on my Brompton! along the way we will get to see some of the charity's projects and meet some of the children and families benefiting from the work.  

I am paying all the costs of the trip myself so that every penny I raise will go directly to Hope and Homes for Children.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALLl! In order to truly earn your donations in the lead up to the trip I am undertaking some other sporting endeavours!!!

On the 3rd June I will be running the Great Midland Run (8.5 miles around Birmingham!!

and on 28th July I am entered in the Brompton World Championships on my trusty foldy bike! Thats got to be worth a couple of bob!
