Story
Chris Moyle is a man for whom some of the toughest marathons have started out as distant dreams, become hard targets and ultimately lay behind him, trailing in his impressive wake. He's vanquished London and Paris city marathons, Beachy Head, Three Forts, the Steyning Stinger and the mighty Two Oceans Ultra marathon in Cape Town. Chris has rasied money for many charities and helped countless runners achieve their dreams along the way. Running for Brighton & Hove AC Chris has worked with people facing their own first marathon quest. He's a much loved and respected man in our community for whom nothing is ever too much trouble, especially when others need help.
Now Chris faces his toughest challenge.
Diagnosed this summer with cancer of the stomach and liver he is undergoing intensive treatment including debilitating chemotherapy. Every day throws new obstacles and challenges in his way and of course he's taking them on as only he can. Chris is supported by his loved ones, friends & family and the amazing Macmillan Care Nurses. Chris wants to raise money for these wonderful people who work tirelessly to help people fight this heartless disease.
Before his illness struck Chris entered the Hastings Centenary Marathon. On Sunday 14th December 2008 a group of friends ran the race to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support. Most of them recorded personal best times on a tough course.
