Story
Sadly fighting continues in the Ukraine and there are no signs of change with the conflict. Civilians are struggling to survive and thousands of refugees are still without shelter and aid. The everyday supplies that you and I take for granted are desperately needed.
There is no immediate solution and it feels as if we are in a very helpless position as the enormity of this event continues to unfold. That said, even the smallest gesture can make a difference.
BFit with Billie and Kat Waters Yoga are asking for your participation and contribution to a fitness fundraiser with all proceeds going to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal run by The British Red Cross Society. We hope to bring together our community and make a difference through a morning of mindful movement.
MOVE FOR UKRAINE
Saturday 2nd April, 10am on Eastney Beach.
Meeting point by Eastney Baths and The Southsea Deli Horse Box.
The morning will consist of a 30 minute BFIT with Billie fitness class, followed by 30 minutes of yoga and meditation with Kat Waters Yoga.
We will be joined by The Southsea Deli Horse Box @the_southsea_deli, serving their delicious beverages and Wills Bakeaway @willsbakeaway, selling his delectable brownies and cakes that we can all enjoy guilt free after moving together. All profit from the morning’s event will go to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal run by The British Red Cross Society.
To attend we would be grateful if you made a minimum donation of £5 but we fully understand if you are unable to do so at this time and giving what you can is appreciated. There will also be an opportunity to get rid of any loose change in the collection buckets on the day. If you are unable to attend the fundraiser event you can still make a difference by making a contribution.
We look forward to seeing you down there to #standwithukraine
