Story

Hello 👋🏼 so in May I’ll be taking part in a hike up mount Snowdon with some close friends and family in order to raise money for the Alzheimer’s society. Most will know how close this is to my heart as my dear mother has been suffering with the disease since her mid 50’s, so around 20 years of her life. I was only a teen when signs began to show and it’s been many years since I really felt the presence of my mother despite the fact that she’s still with us. But doing things like this in her memory of who she once was really makes me feel connected to her again ❤️

It seems strange asking for sponsors when there’s so much upheaval in the world right now but Alzheimer’s has been the biggest killer in the UK since 2015 (covid aside) so if anyone one could be so kind to sponsor me I’d be very very grateful, no matter how small. If you are unable to sponsor, but have some good fundraising ideas, or any unwanted “tat” that you want to get rid of to sell at a car boot sale - please let me know! Any help will do 🙏🏼🥰

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
