Story

I have recently become the main carer for my 95 year old Dad, who is now living with us, having recently been diagnosed with Alzheimers' disease.
With my passion for trekking, I have decided to raise money for Alzheimers research by joining an organised trek up Snowdon on May 20th.
The trek will achieve several useful goals, including: having a much needed break in Snowdonia with my wife, helping keep me fit and making connections with other carers etc..

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
