Story
I am embarking on a running adventure like nothing i have attempted before. The Bob Graham Round. A 100km (ish) continuous run over 42 of the lake districts finest summits totalling the hight of everest. The aim is to complete this challenge within 24hrs but if it takes me longer i’ll keep going until its completed. It will push me to (probsbly beyond) my limits both physically and mentally. I am doing this for a personal challenge and also to raise money for 2 charities. I couldn’t decide which so will split the donations between the two. The first: Keswick Mountain Search & Rescue in particular for Chris Lewis an experienced member of the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team who fell 150 metres down a steep slope. Chris sustained severe life-changing injuries whilst attending a call out during lockdown for people who had travelled to Cumbria from out of the area. The second: Mind, the mental health charity supported by Mountains for the Mind to raise awareness of the healing power of mountains and outside exercise and to raise funds to support people suffering with all sorts of mental health issues which is particularly prevelant after the Covid year! .
