Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
So, we've agreed to walk 100km across the South Downs, in a maximum of 30 hours (target under 24). Doesn't sound like most people's idea of fun? I'd probably agree, but the chance of raising some cash for 2 such well deserving causes, added to the sense of achievement (I'm not thinking about the blisters, aching joints, chafing etc) of actually completing this, was too much to turn down.
So here we are, at the time of writing this we've had our first 2 team training walks. The 1st 20km of the actual route was our first, it's got a lot of very steep hills! And worse to come, apparently. We're all looking forward to that challenge! Aren't we? Then for our 2nd walk, we managed 30km. With our crack support team (thanks Mette), and a rigorous(ish) training regime, how can we fail to rise to the challenge!
These are the 2 charities, http://www.oxfam.org.uk/ and the Gurkha Welfare Trust http://www.gwt.org.uk/ Please take a look at what they're already achieving, and what they can do with this extra cash. Any amount that can spared will be massively appreciated.
So, wish us luck, I think we're going to need it!
