Fundraising for The Sequal Trust
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After the fantastic effort by Karen last year in her triathlon I obviously had to come up with something myself. Then when Ollie was looking for people to join him in a mammoth three day ride, 170 miles from Morecambe to Bridlington I had to jump at the chance.
I used to ride all the time when I was younger, I cycle to work occassionaly (7 miles), surely this isn't going to be too tough. Who was I kidding exactly? Three months before the effort my training is going well but I was wrong about not being too tough. Every weekened I go out my legs are burning, I can't sit down on anything harder than a sofa, I don't think I've ever had so much pain in my legs in my life. Hmmm, I think I'd better take back my commment and I can definately say this is already the hardest thing I've done in my life, and I'm only training.
Why am I doing this exactly? Pretty simple for me really. The Sequal Trust played a big part in securing a fancy new communication device for my daughter, Tamsin which has made a huge difference in her quality of life. I'm not in a position to help individuals directly and so productively but The Sequal Trust can, so the more cash we raise for them, the more they can do for the individuals who need the aid.
