Starting in September I will be celebrating 10 years of teaching
people the power of positive psychology and running an exciting campaign across Manchester.

Over the last 10 years I have been privileged enough to work
with some elite performers in both the business and sports world and for 13 weeks from September to November, I will be sharing the key insights I have discovered during this time in a series of presentations to the Manchester business community.

One of my long standing sports clients is footballer Joe Thompson, who incredibly overcame blood cancer twice and returned to football last year scoring the winning goal to keep Rochdale in League One on the last day of the season, in what was a true fairy tale story.

Joe’s story has received global coverage and inspired people all over the world. During that time and through the battles with cancer, we were working on keeping him mentally strong and focused really demonstrating the power of positive psychology.

For the first time ever we will be sharing the true story of what we worked on behind the scenes. The goal Joe scored on the final day of last season was no accident, we had worked on that moment for a long time.

There are many great lessons in Joe’s story that relate to the challenges we face in every day life and business and how staying mentally strong and focused is key to us all.

Being positive is not just about expecting everything will go well all the time, unlike some mistakenly believe. It is much more about using the tool of your mind to stay mentally strong when you face difficult setbacks and challenges.

This will be the focus of these presentations, teaching these principles to as many people as we can reach.

Excitingly, Joe will be attending some of the presentations
with me where we will both tell the story. He won’t be able to attend all of
the talks however as he is still a full time professional athlete, but will get to as many as he can.

Every Monday from September 3^rd to November 26^th I will be delivering 3 presentations per day at the following times:

4pm

Joe and I are raising money for the charity Bloodwise (in return for the  presentations) who were a great support for Joe and do incredible work saving thousands of lives every year. If each team could donate £100 in return for the presentation we will be well on our way to achieving our target.
