Story
We as a family lost a much loved Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin & Friend. Jim Morrison, was a 26 year old dedicated Police Officer who loved his job & life. Sadly on the 13th December 1991 after trying to apprehend a handbag thief, he lost his life from a fatal stab wound to the heart.
The murderer has never been found & the investigation is still ongoing.
Jim spent most of his childhood holidays on a farm on the Isle of Harris, with Donald & Angus, Johan and Isobel, enjoying the wonderful outdoor life it offered 5 young active children. It is also where Jim is buried. Harris is a beautiful and special Island close to our hearts, so it was an easy decision that this is the perfect place to complete our walk. We will be climbing Clisham the highest mountain on the island at 799 metres on Friday 20th October.
All funds raised will go to The UK Police Arboretum Memorial Trust to honour not only Jim but all the brave Police Officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The Arboretum will be a reflective & calm memorial commemorating their lives.
We would love your support.
