Story

James Waggott, Jack Curtain and Josh Worsey are on a mission! Here is their story...

We are on a mission! A mission where we shall be putting our  physical strength and mental agility to the test as we cycle from Marrakesh,
Morocco back to our home turf in Christchurch, Bournemouth where the finishing line shall be at the Macmillan Caring Locally Hospice. Each day we will be averaging between 70 – 100 miles depending on weather conditions and what type of terrain we may encounter as we make our way through Morocco, Spain, France and finally back into England with not a lot more than just our bikes.

However, this mission isn’t just about us. We aim to raise as much money as possible for the good people at the specialist palliative care
unit called ‘Macmillian Caring Locally’. This charity is extremely close to our hearts after the endless help and support they have recently given to James and his family during the hardest time of their lives, after James’ mum, Sarah, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2018. She valiantly fought an uphill battle until she finally found peace at the unit on May 15th 2019.

The outstanding work they do is not only end of life care for the patient but also they provide guidance and assistance for families, without which many would be unable to cope. All money raised will be going towards the £10,000,000 needed by the Brick by Brick, Macmillian new unit appeal so that more patients and their families can benefit from the invaluable work they do, just as James and his family did.

The point of this trip is not only to prove to ourselves that we’re up to the challenge and raise as much money for charity as possible, but also to honour a wonderful mother and person who always loved an outdoor
adventure.

Your support and any donations no matter how big or small will be hugely appreciated and will help to encourage us to complete our task
ahead!

Cheers! James, Jack and Josh
