Story
So I've decided to take on the challenge of trekking to Everest Base Camp, I've been incredibly fortunate enough to trek to Machu Picchu last summer and it seems that I’ve caught the trekking bug. This time however I don’t just want to take on this challenge as part of my own personal bucket list, I want other people to be able to benefit from this amazing opportunity too. Last year in one of my modules we learned about how the effects of hunger can devastate communities across the world and so I have decided to support Action Against Hunger which is an incredible organization that works relentlessly to bring an end to global hunger. They focus predominantly on helping the children who need it most and ensure that families have the education to combat malnutrition, access to clean water, food (of course) and healthcare for those who are fighting for their lives. If you’d like to know more about this organisation please feel free to get in touch and I’d be more than happy to talk to anyone about it.
I am in my third year of university so have chosen the most hectic time to do this fundraising so will definitely need all of the help that I can get and absolutely any donation no matter how big or little will all help tremendously and will be so so appreciated. I’ll be posting updates all through the lead up to my trek so keep an eye out for any fundraising events that myself or my team will have coming up as you won’t want to miss them, and we certainly don’t want to miss you! Of course hit me up with any fundraising ideas that you have as well, I’ll take all the advice and help that I can get!
