Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My story:
My nan Eileen toy was basically a second mum to me I went round her house every morning and after school everyday. We did so much together she helped my mum and dad bring me up and I'm so grateful because she has helped me grow into the person I am today. My nan helped me with everything school wise especially maths until year 9 because it got to hard for her but even then she would try and help. She taught me how to stich, crochet, sew, everything you could think of my nan was there helping or watching me do.
My nan as a tremendous lady who never put herself infront of anyone always helped everyone before thinking about her self. My nan got diagnosed with breast cancer on the 13th August 2008 the day before my 9th birthday. She battled through that with a massive smile on her face. She did everything she could to make sure all of the family knew that she was doing well. She had both breasts removed and she had got through with a few complications seeing her have an operation on new years day.
To be classed as a survour of this disease you have to be clear of it for 5 years. 4 years 8 months down the line she had sharp pains. Without hesitation she went to the hospital to get it checked out. She got diganosed with secondary breast cancer but it had spread to her liver lungs and bones. We had been told 20 weeks would be maximum time we had left with her. 6 weeks later on the 20th June 2013 at 10.31pm my nan took 3 last breaths smiled at my grandad and sadly went up to heaven.
This is why on the 12th of July 2014 I'm cutting of 8 inches to to go the little princess charity and then shaving the rest of it so I can raise awareness of this is what happens when you have chemotherapy; your hair falls out.
Hopefully I can raise £200 and I'm so thankful to everyone who does. Please donate as much as you can every penny will go to such a amazing charity.
