Moretonhampstead Swimming Pool is raising funds to install a new pool liner at the end of this 2025 season. We need to raise 50k in total, and thanks to our fundraising team plus generous donations from community members and groups we are heading in the right direction with 15k to be raised.

Why a pool liner?

Since the pool was opened in 1982, each pre-season prep has been to scrub the pool down, then paint it. We have now reached a point where we either sandblast the pool and continue to repaint each season, or replace with a pool liner which will give the pool longevity and be more economical with regards to maintenance, heat-retainment and annual financial output.

The current plan is to drain the pool after our last session of the 2025 season, for the work to take place and then refill for winter. No big promises, but we may be able to provide a few cold water swim sessions!
