Story

Where to begin?!

I decided to run a marathon in my 50th year in 2020, as a challenge to myself as I am a very reluctant runner. I tend to do HIIT training to keep fit because it's over so quickly, 30 minutes and your done, such an efficient use of time 😁

So given that, even the thought of the hours of running required make me shudder and having started training twice (the last 2 years EMF's cancelled)  I know what's coming and the challenge feels even bigger and I'm even more reluctant!!

However I'm not one to give up and my kids told me they'd be proud of me if I completed it (a half is not good enough I'm told!) so I thought what better way to encourage me to the end other than raising funds for a worthy cause which helps people from the trade I'm in.

For those that haven't heard of Perennial please go and look at their page https://perennial.org.uk/home/about-us/. They are the only charity in the UK dedicated to helping everyone who works in horticulture and their families, when times get tough and times are tough for many of us right now.

Thank you for donating, every £ will spur me on a little bit more and hopefully by race day I won't be reluctant at all. 🤞😊

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
