Story
At the start of May 2023 I, along with 19 other amazing ladies,,some of who have had or have cancer, will be taking part in a 5 day mountain trek in Croatia. We will be reaching heights of 1401m (higher than Ben Nevis! ) .
We all have so much respect for all those who work tirelessly for those who suffer from cancer, need end of life care and support their families. I am lucky to be able to volunteer once a week and see first hand the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes to enable Highland Hospice to carry on the great work that they do.
I, like many others, have family members who have suffered from the horrible disease.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this blog and am truly grateful for any donations that are made.
Thank you xxx
Highland Hospice provides specialist care and support to terminally ill patients and their families in the Highlands. They have an In Patient Unit in Inverness, provide day care across the region and offer bereavement counselling for relatives. Their aim is to provide dignity, care and support when time matters most.In May 2023, a group of ladies 'The Blister Sisters' will trek the Mountains of Croatia raising vital funds for Highland Hospice. This 5 day trek will see the team trekking long and tiring days through the mountainous Istria Peninsula in Northern Croatia. The ladies are determined to complete the challenge to support Highland Hospice patients and their families and all have very personal reasons for taking on the challenge, some having experienced cancer themselves, others who have lost loved ones and will be trekking in their memory for Highland Hospice. Any support would be gratefully received.
