Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year in November we sadly lost an amazing friend, Brodie Eaton. Brodie was fun loving, kind, compassionate and ALWAYS up for a party.

So we're doing just that. On the 30th of March a charity ball will be hosted in memory of Brodie and I have decided to take the plunge and SHAVE ALL MY HAIR OFF. For anyone that knows me, my hair has been a massive part of my many (some awful) aesthetic choices and also, in my opinion, my personality. From short back and sides, to past-the-shoulder lengths, EVERY colour in the rainbow and many a fringe (short, long, blunt, to the side and even cut by myself). I have always had fun playing and experimenting with my hair so why not go for the buzz cut.

I'd love it and greatly appreciate it if anyone could spare absolutely anything!!!! My personal target is £250 however, I will only be shaving my head if the first £100 is raised. Along with this justgiving page and cash donations on the night I'm hoping that everyone will get behind me, meaning that this should be an easy task! This means a whole load to me and is a very close topic to my heart. I miss Brodie every day, I know everyone does, so this is for him and I hope you can all get on board and support me!

All the love in the world, Moorey xox

THE CHARITY

PAPYRUS is the national charity dedicated to preventing young suicides in the UK. PAPYRUS was founded in 1997 by a mother, Jean Kerr, from Lancashire following the death of her son to suicide. PAPYRUS was initially set up as the Parents’ Association for the Prevention of Young Suicide, hence the name PAPYRUS. Gradually other parents all bereaved by suicide began to join her in the belief that something positive could come from their own tragedy.

Determined to prevent other parents suffering such pain, they began sharing their own personal experiences of loss in an effort to reduce the stigma surrounding young suicide and provide help to other parents worried about their child.

Since 1997, PAPYRUS has continued to listen to and learn from the experiences of those touched by young suicide. Today, PAPYRUS remains dedicated to offering support directly to young people at risk of suicide, their parents and any one concerned about a young person they know.
