I always thought cancer affected other people and their families; it would never happen to me!  That was before my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. Within three short months of his diagnosis my father died. 

I contacted Macmillian many times during my Father’s last few months and also after he passed away. Macmillian offered much needed support and advice for me and my family that I will always be grateful of.

I have never run a marathon, and do not expect to finish in a brilliant time, but I will finish it even if I have to crawl to the finishing line in memory of the first man I loved ..... My Wonderful Dad!
