Five years ago we released our very first seasonal poem, The night before Cwissymouse. Little did we know at the time what would develop from that very first festive offering. The poem was really popular and widely enjoyed and so we decided rather than just give it away we’d ask for a donation for charity.

This idea proved very successful and we ended up raising around £500 for two charities. The following year it seemed a natural choice to do it again and The Newftivity was the fundraiser in 2016. Once again it proved a great success and this was fast becoming a Cwissymouse tradition. Monty Home Alone was penned in 2017 and then when we came round to releasing Monty’s Cwissymouse Carol in 2018 we decided to produce a booklet and include pictures from our young followers. These were posted all around the world as far as Australia and New Zealand, and also to Monty’s many fans in the USA and Canada.

Last year was our take on the animated favourite the Snowman but with a twist and The Snow Thief became the 2019 favorite. This helped the donations reach over £6000 so far and many wonderful charities have benefited since we started.

So we come to 2020 and what can we say? We have decided that this year needs to be bigger better and more fun than any of the previous years and so on 1st December we will be launching Monty and friends exclusive Cwissymouse. The idea is that a private group can be accessed with a donation of any amount, so as little as £1, that will allow everyone to join in with our festive entertainment. Of course you can donate as much as you like or add to it during the month.

For the first time we will be reading all of the previous years festive poems, of course helped by Monty and Cookie. We will have some fantastic raffles and giveaways and there will be some live stuff and some surprises along the way. It will all culminate with the reading of our brand new 2020 Cwissymouse poem on December 24th.

We are hoping to get prizes giveaways and donations from some of the fantastic organisations we’ve worked with throughout the year, so it should be a fantastic fun festive feast and all for a great cause.
