Story

Mont Ventoux has been stirring things up in the Tour de France world since it was first introduced over 60 years ago. It became infamous when it claimed the life of the British rider Tom Simpson in 1967 and has since become a Mecca for cyclists from all over the world wanting to battle this iconic moonscape of a climb. The ‘Club des Cinglés de Mont Ventoux’ translates as the ‘brotherhood of the Ventoux nutters’ – very apt for anyone that cycles up Mont Ventoux three times in a day – 4443m of ascent in 136km!

That’s equivalent to half of Everest!

That’s just a quick into to this year’s challenge.. something a little different.. and something I’m not particularly great at..! Climbing!!!  Not great at going up.. but love coming down!

That alone is surely worth a donation 😉

Looking forward to it now with less that 3 weeks to go!

About the charity

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.
