Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last weekend, an earthquake struck in Nepal northwest of the capital Kathmandu. Already more than 5,000 people have died and that number will increase. The scale of the disaster is, to me, unimaginable.
A good friend of mine has been living in Kathmandu for the last few years, working to improve infant and maternal health in this desperately poor country. As far as I know she and her family are safe, but the lives of many of those who she was trying to help will now be devastated. I am doing the only thing I can think of - and that is to raise money for the DEC.
So I've signed up for the Bristol 10K - with a twist. I'll be Nordic Walking it in style (with poles). Don't be deceived, it's harder than it looks and I've tried it once before signing up so what could go wrong? All I ask is to get round without tripping myself - or anyone else - up. And to raise some money for this urgent cause.
