Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page and donating.
I am raising funds for CHSW. Having recent personal experience of palliative care (excellent care provided for my Mother Norah, by Mandeville Grange Nursing Home in Aylesbury), I cannot imagine how heart breaking it would be supporting your child in a hospice. Both the child and their family need whatever little time they have, to be as caring and supportive as possible, and respite care where the the child deteriorates over many years, and they and their family need a supportive break.
My training is going OK, but I am slow (remember the snail and the tortoise). The Olympics and Paralympics have helped to inspire me this summer. Please keep your fingers crossed for a cool morning on 30th.
Children's Hospice South West was founded in 1991 and aims to make the most of short and precious lives, offering respite care for children with life-limiting illnesses across the South West.
Joining our Bristol and Devon hospices, we opened our third and final hospice Little Harbour in Cornwall to famillies at Christmas and we need your support now more than ever. All of our hospices are filled with fun and laughter, creating as many special memories as possible.
- £5 could help towards arts and crafts materials for fun filled family days in messy play!
- £10 could help towards running our specially adapted mini buses, providing transport for family days out and stays at our hospices
- £15 could help towards providing a home cooked meal and the rare opportunity to eat together during their stay
Donating through JustGiving is simple, and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please help, any small or large amount, every little helps. Thank you.
