The Scott Carter Foundation is devoted to raising funds for children's cancer research. Scott was a 13-year old boy who died in December 1993 after a courageous three-year battle with bone cancer. He believed that if enough time, energy and money were devoted to children's cancer research, a cure could be found. During the duration of his illness, he put together a remarkable collection of sports and celebrity memorabilia, which was previously on display at the Wide World of Sports. Walt Disney World was one of Scott's favorite places so the foundation decided to become a charity partner with runDisney to raise money and further Scott's dream of finding a cure! Every season, we partner with a few hundred runners, from all over the world, to participate in all runDisney events and raise money for SCF. Because SCF is operated out of the Carter's home by volunteers, almost all money raised goes toward funding research projects. Thank you for joining us as we work together to find a cure!
