Story
Jonny was due to run the Edinburgh half marathon to raise money for Simba next month to celebrate Jamie’s 1st birthday. That race is postponed and Jonny missed last year’s race because of Jamie’s early arrival, so I have decided to take on the fundraising gauntlet. Jamie will be 11 months old on Sunday 26th April. Inspired by my Macfit fitness classes, my take on the 2.6 challenge will be - 260 BURPEES 😛 260 SIT UPS 😝 and 260 PRESS UPS 🤯. I will start at 10am and hope to finish by lunch time!
Any contributions would be much appreciated by us and by Simba. This charity means a lot to us because it supports families who experience baby loss. Something which sadly happened to us 5 years ago. We are so lucky to now have Megan’s little brother Jamie in our lives and really want to help others going through this.
Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
