We work on Kenya's front line to protect threatened wildlife and habitats

Story

Hi there!!!!!

The day 06.12.09 the place Greenwhich Park, the time09.30/10.00.

Yes this year I am doing it properly, training and running (well more like jogging really!!) for one of my animal charities, one which is very close to my heart, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. (Remember the Elephant Diaries series on BBC?)

The DSWT embraces measures for the conservation and protection of wildlife in Kenya. Including anti-poaching operations, community outreach, mobile veterinary support, and the rescue, hand-rearing and rehabilitation of elephant and rhino orphans, so that they can enjoy a quality of life in wild terms when grown.

Not only these poor creatures are in great danger because of poachers but this year the adverse weather has not helped matters, first due to a long drought and now heavy rains and floods.

Please please support me in this small adventure of mine, I will probably struggle to run 5Km but it's a small price to pay to at least try and make a small difference.

I look forward to seeing your names in support.

Thanking you all in advance.

Monica (one of Santa's helpers on the 6th of December)
