Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 14th July 2012 myself & one of my best friend's will be driving from Stoke On Trent to Ulaanbantar in Mongolia.
The journey is around 10,000 -12,000 Miles (Mileage dependant on how many times we get lost of course;-), you may have heard of the event before its called the Mongolian Rally and is organised by some chaps called The Adventurists.
The rally of course has rules one of them being that the maximum engine capacity of the cars is a mighty 1200cc and the cars have to be less than 10 years old, as once we arrive in Ulaabantar we'll be donating the car to a local charity, where it will be auctioned off to disadvantage families.
You may now be thinking what Car are they doing to be driving from Stoke-on-Trent to Ulaanbantar Mongolia in, well chaps there wasn't even a contender our choice of steed just had to be a mighty 1.25 Ford Fiesta LX Encore, we've gone for reliability and comfort, as im sure you'll agree we couldn't have chosen a more pratical car to drive 12,000 miles in ;-)
The car has true fiesta characteristics one being that none of the locks on the doors open, meaning that we can lock the doors from the outside with the key but can't open them & at the moment the only way around this is to open the boot and climb in through the boot & open the door's, which was much to the delight of everyone one on Tesco Car park at 10.00am on a saturday morning ang being 6'4" it was exactly graceful.
