Story
Following on from the success of the Momentous Football Academy Skills School Challenge on Saturday 18th April, the owners Martin Devaney, Jimmy Whitehead and Craig Goodyear are taking on a 'momentous' marathon.
The Skills School challenge raised an amazing £300, thanks to your videos and donations and this has spurred the owners on to fundraise even more for Barnsley Hospital Charity.
On Sunday 26th April, Martin, Jimmy and Craig will tag team to run 26.2 miles to raise funds for the Covid-19 Appeal. The London Marathon should have been held on this day and has given the owners this amazing idea!
You can join in our fundraising efforts by running 2.6km or doing 26 kick-ups or sprints. You could even make up your own 26 challenge?
Showcase what you are doing by sending videos into the Momentous Football Academy page and telling your family and friends about our Academy's efforts - sponsorship should be donated through this page so that we can see our collective total as Momentous Football Academy.
What is the Barnsley Hospital Charity Covid-19 Appeal?
The Covid-19 Appeal has been created to support, recognise and for the benefit of Barnsley Hospital staff and patients in relation to Covid-19. (Charity Registration No: 1058037).
Our amazing staff and volunteers are going above and beyond their call of duty to care for the most vulnerable members of our society.
Please donate to this appeal to enable us to provide even more support for them and patients during and after the COVID-19 outbreak. We are so proud of everyone's efforts here in Barnsley.
We have an amazing hospital family which includes all those on the frontline directly caring for patients as well as all those making it possible, working tirelessly together to make a difference.
