Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
What a journey it has all been! Both myself and my Dad would like to thank everyone, for their kind thoughts this year and generous donations through the site.
Mom is my Rock and will never be forgotten, her memory lives on in everything i do. She would have been proud of what i achieved in New York and astounded by the amount raised for a great charity.
Mom you gave me the belief. Rest in peace. We all love you
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many of you, family and friends work colleagues, will be aware of my Mom's fight against cancer for almost 20 years. Mom was then diagnosed with terminal lung cancer nearly 5 months ago. She was only given weeks to live when she was so poorly in hospital. Mom's courageous fight finally ended in peace on Saturday 3rd January 2009.
During this terrible period Mom and Dad found great support, and care through Marie Curie Hospice, Solihull where Mom received wonderful extra care and nursing help in her darkest days.
Both Mom and Dad are making a donation and with my healthy lungs and your donations, we can make more of a difference to the lives of people with life limiting illnesses, like Mom, or perhaps someone dear to you in need of quality and dignity. You have this opportunity to contribute.
It costs nearly £400 a day to care for one patient and some of the work is done by volunteers.
On Sunday the 1st November 2009, I am taking up a personal challenge that will be a tribute to my Mom's brave battle. I am, in conjunction with Marie Curie Cancer Care going to try and raise money by running the New York Marathon, 26.2 Miles.
So please sponsor me now and Thank You for any kind donations!
