We fundraise to enable young people to become International Volunteers

Story

My name is Molly Gray and I am raising money for Project Trust, a Scottish educational charity with over 50 years of experience sending 17-25 year olds abroad so that they can volunteer overseas to make a beneficial impact and be an asset to the multiple countries and communities available to be placed in. I have been selected to go to Ghana in September 2022 to volunteer as a teacher for a year in the vulnerable communities in the Volta region. In order to raise the money, I have decided to cycle the distance between Newcastle Upon Tyne and Ho, the capital of the Volta Region, which is 4690 miles. As well as other fundraising ideas soon to come.

Thank you for the support!

Project Trust is a Scottish-registered educational charity providing young people in the UK and Europe with international volunteering experiences. Project Trust Volunteers are based in projects in Africa, Asia or Latin America for 12 or 8 months supporting teaching or youth development work. Empowering global citizens Project Trust’s aim is to empower generations of young people to act as responsible and active global citizens. We support ethical, long-term volunteering experiences which enable the Volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to their host community whilst building knowledge, skills and cultural intelligence. Project Trust works with a small group of Volunteers each year, allowing the staff team to know each individual’s skills and interests. This allows us to place Volunteers in projects where they can get the most out of the experience and enables our staff to provide tailored support to each young person. Project Trust strives to be open to all young people with the desire, motivation and aptitude required to benefit from a long-term, ethical, volunteering placement
