Story
(Molly Smith) I want to raise money for the stroke association. I will be doing a 700m white water rafting challenge, on a grade 3 course. I have never white-water rafted before, and seeing as I am the girl that was too scared to dive off the side of a boat on holiday, this should be a challenge! I taught my partner, PJ Whitlock to swim only last year but he is also braving the water beside me. I will do the rafting on saturday 23rd feburary 2012
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SPONSORSHIP MONEY for a really good cause. You can donate online at http://www.justgiving.com/...molly-smith1 (its secure!) or give me the money face to face. or even post me the money (please ask for my adress) 1/3 people know somebody who has suffered a stroke. This is a common thing that affects an awful lot of people.
MY STORY: as some of you may know, my father suffered a bad stroke last year. The doctors didn’t think he would make it through the night and our family were devastated. He did survive however, and after many months in hospital and many hours of speech therapy and physio, he re-gained his speech and the movement in his body. He will never be the same as he was before the stroke, he gets tired and does still have some problems. But we are just so proud and thankful that he is here with us today. The stroke association really made a difference, they provided us with information so that we knew what was going on with my Dad, and he attended one of their community recover centres in Beccles. I want to raise money for stroke to support my Dad and to help people who have suffered like him. The stroke association is such a brilliant and helpful charity, my family have seen what a difference they can make!
