Story
On Monday 13th July I am cutting off my hair to donate to Little Princess Trust. The last few months have been difficult for everyone, but it's easy to forget that those with cancer and other life-threatening conditions are facing an especially worrying time.
I have had long hair my entire life, and as daunting as it may be to cut it all away, I know my hair will grow back. Donating my hair is the least I can do and while it means a little something to me, to the children suffering it could mean the world.
It costs £550 to produce and deliver a real-hair wig to someone in need. Anything you can give will help.
Little Princess Trust not only provide real-hair wigs, free of charge, but also fund research into finding better treatments for childhood cancers. Since 2016, they have funded research projects into many types of cancer (including neuroblastoma, leukaemia, teenage and young adult brain tumours, Wilms' and rhabdomyosarcoma) and a variety of less toxic treatments (including Immunotherapy, Proton Beam Therapy and Drug Repurposing).
Please visit www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers and receives no formal funding. Please help to raise money to help even more families.
