We fund vital innovative biomedical studies to ignite research into ME/CFS

Story

I am running the Ilkley Half Marathon with my dad to raise money for CFS/ME research. Having recovered from CFS five years ago after suffering with it for approx 5 years while growing up, I recognise the importance of research into a disease that is still not well understood or even believed by many. This is a huge achievement to be able to take part in this event as at one time I found it difficult to walk a few feet. Being one of the lucky ones that have managed to beat the disease, I hope that research will help those suffering recover. Any shares or donations would be amazing, thanks!

"....doctors do not treat us and science does not study us. How could a disease this common and this devastating have been forgotten by medicine?" Jennifer BreaME Research UK believes that only biomedical research can find the causes of ME/CFS, improve diagnosis and treatment, and, ultimately, arrive at a cure. That’s why research is our focus. We've awarded 57 grants since 2000 and invested over £2.2million. But research is expensive and becoming more so every day. That’s the challenge we face, and that’s why we need your help.
