Story

On Thursday 8th October I was given the heartbreaking news that my dear beloved father had departed this world (May Allah Rest His Soul In Peace & Grant Him Eternal Paradise)

It breaks my heart knowing that many of the family and community couldn’t even be present with him at the funeral due to the COVID restrictions.

I have so many childhood memories of dad, most notably changing his lifelong habit of not eating ice cream and chocolate at the age of 96.

He was always having fun and jokes with his grandchildren and often spoke and joked about taking them to visit the queen when he turned a 100.

What an amazing man gone far too early who has left a massive void not only in the family but in the community too. I am drawn to tears just typing this but I wish and pray I can do more in the name of my Father.

It is in the name of my father 'Siddek Ali' I intend on raising as much funds as possible to help "The World In Crisis Appeal" by taking on the challenge of my life by trekking Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world.

May Allah swt grant my efforts in loving memory of my dear beloved father and be a source for his door to paradise.

I have joined a team of 20 passionate people from around the world to work alongside Human Appeal, to raise £150,000 to provide Emergency Humanitarian Aid around the world.

Everywhere we look, the world is in crisis:

  • Yemen is crippled by six years of conflict, famine, and disease with over 24 million people needing urgent humanitarian aid.
  • Syria has millions displaced due to the nine year long conflict.
  • Gaza in Palestine, according to the United Nations could become uninhabitable by the end of 2020.
  • Iraq continues to experience an unstable and critical humanitarian situation with 6.7 million people needing immediate assistance.
  • Rohingya refugees, described by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres as the most discriminated people in the world.
  • Refugee camps around the world are further aggravated by the threat of coronavirus upon their lives.

Last year we all helped Human Appeal to change the lives of 1,349,536 people, including supporting 11,845 orphans in nine countries, as well as providing 42,110 people with vital and timely food security. During the harsh winter over 13,000 people were given the support they required to weather the tough conditions of these difficult months.

Human Appeal is on the ground in Syria, Yemen, Palestine, Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq, Myanmar and Bangladesh, but can only deliver vital aid with your help. Your support means the difference between life and death for people experiencing unimaginable suffering.

Emergency Aid Required

Families that have endured war, displacement and unimaginable hardship have now been flooded out of their tents.

Left with nothing, they have no protection from the bitter cold winter conditions.

The Human Appeal team is on the ground providing essential family winter emergency kits to those affected by the floods.

Please support my Emergency Winter Flood Appeal today:

Syria - £140 will provide an Emergency Winter Kit to a vulnerable Syrian family, containing warm blankets, sleeping mats and rugs, shelter reinforcement, fuel for heating, and soap, helping them to survive winter and the floods

These items could mean the difference between life and death, in the first and most vulnerable moments during an emergency, for a family who have lost everything.

All donations are welcome and even £1. Can make a difference

Please Please share your kindness and your strength and help those in most need.
