Could you survive on a food parcel for 5 days? 2 million people have had to rely on food parcels during this pandemic. This virus, and our response to it, has discriminated against the poor with an uneven hand. Our foodbank has been delivering to nurses, single parent families, those on universal credit and elderly people with no social support.
Covid has amplified societal inequalities and has shone a light on the kind of deprivation that has been going unanswered for years.
This year we are asking you to help fight this rigged and ignored inequality by living on a food parcel for a week and raising enough funds to buy a tonne's worth of food for the marginalised and held back.
£350 buys a tonne of food which feeds 100 adults or 150 children!
This campaign will last 6 weeks so you'll have that time to gather contributions from family, friends, colleagues, followers and anyone else who wants to end food poverty in their city.
