ADAM & CO
MND CHARITY ROD RACE 2011
25th July - 3rd August 2011
Adam & Co will be pushing the boundaries with their fishing skills and all in the name of charity!
We have chosen this charity because Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the upper and lower motor neurones.
Degeneration of the motor neurones leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs, and difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing, Adam has chosen this cause in memory of his late father-in-law who sadly had his life taken away from him with this traumatic disease, the affects this disease has on both the sufferer and the loved ones is unforgiveable, so to help MNDA continue research for a cure and offer help and support to suffering famllies our main priority is to raise as much money as possible, without your contributions we cannot make this possible so.........
With Fishing rods and baits in hand, we will start at John O'Groats, at the most northern tip of Scotland, and travel the length of the UK to Lands-End in just 10 days. But there is a catch (excuse the pun!) To succeed they must match the mileage with weight of fish. Total distance is 1080 road miles , therefore totalfish caught must equal 1080lbs.
They are commited to raising the target total of £5,000 so please give generously to support them in this mammoth fishing task.
Nothing will stand in their way. They will be fishing the length of the country day and night, sunshine and rain. So, armed with their shabby motorhome, rods and baits, off they will set sail on july 25th 2011, follow their progress at www.mndcharityrodrace2011.co.uk.
