Story
Gavin is everyone's favourite. Always has been. He's a husband, a Dad, a Grandad, a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a social butterfly, a star on the guitar, a rugby player and a rugby fan. But he's always the favourite. If there's only one slice of cake, one bottle of beer or one poppadom left, it's Gavin who gets it. He's the jewel in the family crown and everyone loves him.
In his rugby team, he's the little one - the one that everyone wants to simultaneously take the mickey out of and look after. He played scrum half - the same position as Rob Burrow - and in his younger days played for Lancashire. Locally he played for De La Salle in Salford and his rugby family are keen to do everything it can to support him.
Gavin's diagnosis devastated him and everyone who knows and loves him. So now all we want to do is raise some money for him and his family to help cope with the diagnosis and what the future may bring. Gav isn't in the spotlight. And we may not raise millions but what we want to do is show him how much he means to us all.
