Climate change is one of the biggest issues facing mankind at the moment, with impacts hitting jobs, biodiversity, food production and much more. In the UK alone, 1 in 7 species is already facing extinction (WWF) and changes to the climate will make existing social problems, such as poverty, much worse (UN). As such, we all need to band together to do something about it!
Over a quarter of global emissions come from food, so I am hosting a Climate Cook-In to start the conversation about the impact of what we eat. Whether it's reducing our meat and dairy consumption, cutting down on plastic, or looking for seasonal produce, we can all take actions to decrease our carbon footprint.
At the same time, I will be raising money for Possible, a national climate action charity that works to bring people together to tackle climate change on an individual, community and system-wide level.
