Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Aunty Eileen was an amazing woman, she had a walking
stick and wasn't afraid to wave it around if you misbehaved, she knitted very
itchy woolly jumpers for Christmas presents, she always said what she thought
but above all she was one of the kindest people I've known.
She didn't have any children but had the children at Derian
house who she was a massive supporter. She would knit, bake, sell calendars and
lots of other thing to help them continue the amazing work they do.
Sadly she passed away in 2017 but I wanted to do something in her memory and help keep her legacy of supporting Derian House alive.
Therefore I shall be taking on the Triathlon X half distance triathlon! It involves a 1.2 mile swim in Windermere, 56 mile bike ride heading up the struggle and Hardknott pass (both ways) coming in at a leg busting 33% then a 13 mile run to the summit of Fairfield it's a challenge superman would think twice about!
I will also be raising money for other two other fantastic charities, MIND, Having suffered quite badly from mental health and depression after a string of emotional events, I know how easy it is to slip to a very dark and lonely place and having support for individuals and their families is so very important.

Friends of Serenity in memory of our sleeping baby Wallace who never got to see this world, I wanted his short life to make a difference. They are a charity which provides invaluable support and care along with memory boxes to bereaved parents. The support from the unit and friends of serenity was invaluable to us at such a difficult and confusing time.

As always a big thank you for the support, I know these
charities mean as much to many of you as they do to me.
