At the tail end of 2019 I lost my mum to kidney cancer. She was only diagnosed in early 2019, and passed away on the morning of the 2019 Cardiff Half Marathon. I ran that one for her, and I'm running this one for her and the many like her who need our research to keep finding better ways of beating cancer. 

I've not run this route for a long time, given that we've been waiting 2 years for this race, so I'm expecting this to be an emotional one.
