Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp in August 2015 with Loughborough University in support of the Children's Society. Please help me reach my target- by doing so you're lending a hand to the thousands of vulnerable children in the UK who rely on this great charity.

The Children's Society do vital work in so many ways- from protecting children affected by drug and alcohol misuse and looking out for vulnerable children living on the streets, to ensuring children in care have their voices heard.

At over 5,360m above sea level, Everest Base Camp in Nepal is right at the heart of the Himalayas and the 14 day trip will be a real physical challenge.

£10 could pay for a phone card so a young runaway can contact a project worker when in danger. £20 could pay for a mediation session between a young person and their parents. £50 could give 4 young carers a well needed day out. £100 pays for a troubled young person to have a mentor for a whole year. Please donate generously, all donations can really make a difference.

Thank you all for your time, and wish me luck!
