During the month of September, Stop Foodborne Illness challenges our constituents, their friends and families, and our donors to take 3,000 steps each day - every day - to honor the 3,000 lives lost each year to foodborne illness in the U.S.

Story

I have the honor of leading this amazing organization - Stop Foodborne Illness. I cannot begin to tell you how fulfilling and heartbreaking this work is. My incredible team of 7 does the work of 30 people. 

We are called "The Voice for Safe Food" because we work with individuals and families who share their intimate stories of survival and death due to food. They are heros. We work for them and everyone who eats. Thank you for your support.

As the voice of people affected by foodborne illness, we collaborate with partners in academia, the food industry, and government to prevent foodborne illness. We advocate for effective food safety policy and facilitate culture change to increase food safety.
