Story
It's always been a dream of ours to take on the IRONMAN series as brothers one day, in the name of charity - we've spoken about it together for over 10 years, and we're delighted to now say... that the time has come.
Unfortunately however, we've left it a bit late and we're certainly not as fit as we used to be... but we can assure you that won't be stopping us crossing that line.
For those two don't know, an IRONMAN 70.3 is a endurance triathlon that consists of the following:
Swim: 2km (1.2 miles)
Cycle: 90km (56 Miles)
Run: 21km (13.1 miles - a half marathon)
The Weymouth route begins with a choppy sea swim, followed by a challenging cycle route up, down and across the rolling hills of Devon, finishing with a half marathon along the coast line.
After some discussion, we have together decided to compete and raise money for the incredible - Rainbow Trust Children's Charity.
Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. When a child has a serious illness, family life is turned upside down and time becomes more precious than ever. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support, whenever they need it, for as long as is needed. We support the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters and grandparents.
We hope you can support us with whatever you can afford.
Thanks so much!
