Story
This beautiful, photogenic boy is 4 year old Marshall. Marshall came into our care just before Christmas after his owner was no longer able to keep him. He had ear mites when he was first admitted so was put on a two week course of ear cleaner to treat the mites which seemed to do the trick. On a visit to the vets for vaccinations it was discovered that his ears had, once again, become very sore and itchy. The vet confirmed that poor Marshall has Ceruminous Gland Adenomas in both pinnae and ear canals. Simply put…. Marshall has multiple benign tumours in his ears and requires an operation to remove both ear canals to prevent the tumours from growing back and to end his pain and discomfort.
We have managed to get a date booked for the first of Marshall's surgeries on Friday 22nd Feb and the second will be arranged once the first surgery is complete. The surgeries will cost our centre around £1,200 which will cover the cost of both surgeries, medication and onward recovery care.
Cats Protection receive no government funding therefore we rely solely on the donations of kind supporters to ensure cats like Marshall get the best chance in life. We never put a healthy cat to sleep and Marshall has a long, happy life ahead of him after his pain and discomfort is eased. We would very much appreciate your support and donations for gorgeous Marshall. Every penny helps.
Any funds raised above and beyond our target will be used to help other cats and kittens in our care at Mitcham Homing Centre.
