Story
Jumpstart the Missoula JVs! These volunteers have dedicated a year of their lives to serve with JVC Northwest. As such, they have committed to living the four values of Community, Simple Living, Social & Ecological Justice, and Spirituality/Reflection. Your gift goes into a communal pool which helps support their formation and keep fees low for the nonprofits they serve. Help them reach their goal of receiving at least 12 donations of any amount to their page!
Meet the Missoula JVs:
Jonah is from Hanover, MN and will be serving as a Food Access Member for the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center.
"I serve because I believe that everyone should experience the joy of serving others. Serving those that are less fortunate is how God calls us to serve."
Bri (she/her) is from Lansing, MI and will be serving as a Jobs/Housing Support Specialist with the Missoula Interfaith Collaborative.
"I serve because it is a good way to learn more about people and different perspectives. I hope to be more involved and supportive in diverse communities. I want to be there for others and help in any way that I can."
Caitlin (she/her) is from Beverly, MA and will be serving as a Community Programs Specialist with the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center.
"I serve because I am passionate about housing and food insecurity and want to form relationships with those in my community."
Emily (she/her) is from Morristown, NJ and will be serving as the Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator with The Poverello Center.
"I serve because I want to incite positive change. After attending a Jesuit college for the last four years, the idea of being "people for and with others" has become something I value enormously. Volunteering allows me the opportunity to connect with communities and make a difference."
