A huge hug for making it to my Endo JustGiving page, it's nearly as much a miracle as me getting pregnant!

Having suffered from Endo I am on a somewhat personal crusade to spread the word about what exactly Endo is and what us girlies should not have to put up with. One of the biggest problems is diagnosis which can often take up to 8 years! Many factors such as the contraceptive pill, implants or worse still the depo injection can play a huge factor in causing our bodies natural hormones to go a bit skew whiff. What you do as a conscientious teenager plays a massive part in how you hormone system turns out in later life.

Awareness is key and just letting girls know of what might happen could help them to make better informed decisions.

If we could just cut the 'stiff upper british lip' bit and TALK about things in detail and be open about such hush hush topics such as just how heavy is a period? Lets get to talking that a super orange  tampax does not last one hour and I soak my pad aswell! Then we might get somewhere and find out that this is not the norm and when you tell your doctor you have heavy periods, you really mean heavy!

I'd love to help as many girls and women as I can in making the right choices for them. If they do get or have got Endo then I wish to bring a great deal of positive energy to them in showing that no matter how long or how bad they have it, never give up hope that through a holistic approach you can overcome this disease and return to a balanced woman.
