I'm running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 10th October 2021 for #TeamStroke, in memory of my Grandad Bob. 

Although I am running in Grandad's memory specifically, around 100,000 people per year in the U.K. suffer a stroke with devastating and lasting impacts. Despite this, stroke remains a relatively underfunded (and therefore under-researched) area of neurological/cerebrovascular illness. 

Any donations great or small would therefore make such a difference: to stroke survivors, those caring for a survivor, those who have lost someone to a stroke, and to anyone else who is dealing with the physical and emotional toll of stroke's aftermath in some way.
